Many thanks for sharing your review on Tripadvisor.
I am delighted to read you had a pleasant stay with us at the Renaissance Bordeaux, and that you enjoyed our location in the vibrant "Bassins à Flots" neighbourhood, just 15 minutes by tram from the old town.
I hope to welcome you back very soon !

Conference hotel
Pros:
- welcoming and helpful staff that are fluent in English and extremely helpful
- decent rooms
Cons:
- near to bars; may be nice to slip out for a nice drink but I, with many guests, noticed and were bothered by their noise late at night
- although close to the tram, they are hidden in between buildings and may be difficult to find
- food was hit or miss. Some foods, such as the strawberry confiture for bread, was divine while others, such as soggy scrambled eggs (re-served at lunch) with rather stale bread and cheese left something to be desired
- although the rooms were quite attractively decorated, as the photos indicate the ceilings were bare cement. It detracts quite a bit from the decor; a little plaster and paint would be a HUGE difference. It looks half finished
- the ground floor layout is designed for a conference - one entrance leads you to the lobby while the other entrance leads you to the elevators. In between is a bar, conference rooms, and only toilets on the ground floor. In case you come in the hallway, you must go with your luggage through the crowded bar to the lobby to check in and then wind back to the elevators to go to your room. I think a bit better planning would have gone a long way here.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your stay at the Renaissance Bordeaux. We’re delighted to hear that you found our team welcoming, helpful, and fluent in English—it’s always our goal to provide exceptional service and make our guests feel at home.
I appreciate your thoughtful insights into areas where we can improve.
I am sorry that you had trouble finding the tramway that's just 5 minutes from our hotel. I will remind our Front Desk team to always show the direction on the map to all our guests.
I understand that the exposed concrete ceiling may not appeal to everyone so I am sorry you did not like it.
It is a design choice that was made to link the hotel with the historic Silos that were kept and renovated for the entrance of our hotel.
Your feedback about the inconsistency of our food is invaluable. While we’re glad you enjoyed the strawberry confiture, we’re disappointed to learn about the issues with the eggs and bread. I’ve shared your comments with our F&B team to ensure this was an isolated situation that will not happen anymore.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. Your comments are incredibly valuable and help us grow and improve. Should you decide to return, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly so we can ensure your next stay is more seamless and enjoyable.
Kind regards,
Gabriel P.

At the foot of the wine city
We enjoyed the pool, bar and restaurant. All 3 offer a superb view! The dishes of the restaurant Gina are excellent.
