Great experience

Very good hotel. Were there for one night before our flight, very well placed. Beautiful and very clean room, large bathroom. We ate there too, very good and the owner was very friendly, the breakfast was very generous and good. Free parking friendly and smiling staff I recommend

Traditional Hessian cuisine

Rustic restaurant with charm and tradition since 1838! Typical Hessian dishes. Local apple wine, good beer. The service is fast and friendly.
The food is freshly made and very tasty...extensive menu.
The beer garden is very cozy...

Venison for the win!

This is a warm and friendly place that transports you back to the 1400’s. I happened to come on a Sunday and it was one of the only German Restaurants open in the area. They were serving venison as it is very much in season and I had it three ways; stewed, sausage, and roast. My compliments to the chef as it was cooked perfectly. There was also a large crock of pickled cabbage which was a sweet note amidst the savory dissonance. I am glad I stumbled upon this jewel!

Effective

The positive is that the room was very clean, the beds very good and there where several nice extra's in the (bath-) room that I did not expect in a 'Guesthouse'. The restaurant downstairs has a nice atmosphere and serves healthy dishes. Guest parking on the premises is also a definite plus. The room and bathroom are old and do the job but lack any color or atmosphere. Noise started around 6.30.

Excellent owner and staff, okay room and decent location for Heimtex

Firstly many thanks to owner who stay till 8pm to handover the room key. This place runs restaurant and separate entrance rooms upstairs. Has secure car park and they give key to for the gate.
I was there for Heimtextil . He even guided for the local bus stop across the road and Heimtex is about 20mins ride.
Rooms are okay, heating could be better and bathroom hot water runs out in under 10mins.
Restaurant serves German food and owner even tried to make some Vegetarian dish due to my diet but wasn’t tasty.
Nevertheless he was helpful.
All in all not bad for the money as long as you manage your expectations.
