99% great 1% off for poor breakfast etiquette
Now how we felt from check in reception girl very nice and pleasant explained everything we needed to know and found reception staff very helpful all weekend.
Cleaning staff in and out making bed and cleaning room very proficient and again very polite.
Bar staff very polite and welcoming offering good advice on whiskey history and overall good chat.
1st days breakfast was served at tables with toast, coffee, tea and juice continental available.
2nd day morning after wedding setup separate room with breakfast being served via tables cereals or fry up with optional if you know to ask for the potato scones WHY !
3rd day plan to have eggs benedict that was short lived concierge said would take cook 20 min to make sauce ? only fry up available said i dont like fried breakfast 3 days running but I just had to walk away. would think chef would think in advance some one will order eggs benedict.
Dinners over the 3 nights we enjoyed 2 in restaurant and 1 in bar room cost is the same and would really say service is the same.
Overall really enjoyed our stay would recommend and would return but only downer was breakfast

Outside hui, room bad
Standard double room only accessible via many winding corridors and 2 stairs (2 heavy suitcases). In the corridors the plaster crumbles and the wallpaper hangs down.
Room with stained thick carpeting, furniture old. The worst was the double bed: a 1.20 m wide extended seating furniture. Sleeping almost impossible with 2 people. Hot water only lukewarm and almost no pressure.

Norwood Hall is indeed a historic building, featuring many room types. Due to its historic nature some rooms are located up several flights of stairs, although all rooms allocated more than one flight up can be accessed via a lift.

Parking was very poor but there was a wedding on. This was unfortunately under my room but was nice to hear their last dance 😂.
