Gorgeous surroundings and service
I especially appreciated the “at your service” people that answered your phone from the room. They were able to answer any questions deal with any request, pleasantly an accurately. Loved dinner at Lincoln‘s, many more things than just steaks on the menu. Both the hostess and server gave me great ideas on what to order. The gentlemen with the golf carts that will take you everywhere were all amazing.. Room service was timely. My only small disappointment was the Sunday brunch. It was very nice, but I don’t think it was worth $100 a plate.
Enjoy!

Comfy room, but small pool area and overall could use some updating
There were a number of positives. The bed was the usual comfy Marriott bed and pillows, and the temperature control was great; we slept really well. The bedroom décor was updated, and we had a little wet bar with a mini sink, mini fridge, mini Keurig and microwave. There was a separate additional vanity/sink area outside the bathroom. Great wifi in the room. Parking is convenient and there’s a lot of it scattered around. The landscaping was very pretty, with multitudes of heat-loving flowers and plants; there was also great bird watching! They put in an excellent fitness center in the new spa/pool complex; the fitness center (but not the new pool) is free for resort guests. For breakfast, we chose to take the complimentary breakfast buffet in lieu of banking some extra Marriott points, and found that breakfast was good and extensive (scrambled eggs and eggs to order, tons of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, bacon, pancakes, smoked salmon, and so forth.) Staff were friendly.
The negatives were disappointing for us: the pool is shockingly small for the size of the resort, and that weekend it was packed with humanity, reminiscent of unhappy childhood memories at the free outdoor municipal pool. We took one look and said nope. Marriott could do with expanding the pool area by about quadruple for a proper resort experience. The other pool in the aforementioned new spa complex looked lovely and was definitely calmer, but we were told that the pool is only available to people who book a (typical resort-priced) spa service or buy a day pass which we recollect was $150. In our room, the bathroom was very small and we were bizarrely unable to get cool water in the shower – instead we got hot, hotter, hottest! On one of our glass doors leading to the balcony, moisture had gotten in over the years and as a result the glass was clouded over. A combination of small things gave us the overall impression that Marriott needs to spend a little money refurbishing and updating aspects of the resort.
For these reasons, we’d probably try another property on our next visit to the area.

Not a JW experience compared to others
Breakfast brunch is fantastic and offers everything.
Pool was clean and prompt service.
Our room dated, carpets very dirty, microwave very old, room pretty beat up for 1000 a night price. TV are old and need to be replaced. Room 524.
I wouldn’t go back to this JW. I’ve been a 25 plus year member. Recommend you take hard look at detail in rooms.
