Land of milk and honey in the Palatinate.

Small, fine and extremely personal. I'm tired of the big, big chains, and I'm looking for hotels like this and I was spoiled here. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. There were only 7 people in the hotel, but the breakfast felt like it was for 50. The quality and service were absolutely top class.

Cozy family hotel in downtown Rodalben

To summarize my review upfront: This is a wonderful place to stay in Rodalben. A cozy hotel with an outstanding breakfast buffet and clean rooms. It is just a short walk to the many hiking trails surrounding the city. The people are friendly, helpful and immediately remembers details about your preferences and needs. The in-house chocolatier and bakery specializing in cakes are a nice bonus. After a long hike on the "Felsenwanderweg", one of the panoramic trails surrounding the city, stop at your hotel's main dining room and have an afternoon coffee and a piece of homemade cake. While the hotel's own restaurant is not open anymore, it is just a short walk to many other dining options - there is even information about them in every guest room. The Wifi is free, and so is parking in the back. Perfect!

A pleasant stop over.

I used this as a stopover while driving through Europe. A typical small town small German hotel. Clean, tidy friendly and helpful. A comfortable bed and room if slightly old fashioned. Downstairs a pleasant restaurant with a typical German menu. A very good breakfast next morning,

Perfect stay and food

The owners looked after us very well for our 2night stay in July. The room was a bit outdated in style but perfectly cleaned and comfortable. We had to leave windows open all time due to the heatwave so street noise was unavoidable.
Breakast was the best with multitude of choises from cereals, fruit salad, yogurts to meats, cheeses, then german breads and cakes to even delicious chocolate.
We also had dinner there in the backyard garden, beautiful delicious food with a good selection of wine. The service was warm, relaxed and attentive throughout.
We loved our stay and cannot recommend it enough.
