Don't book this hotel because you'll regret it.

Badly worse and even worse..
Arrival was fine. We got a room on the first floor. When we got off the elevator we saw a mega filthy rug which was full of rancid stains that you think I don't even want to know what stains these are and smelled like a combination of sewage air and cigarette smoke masked by a cheap perfume smell. The room was small and deserved some handling of overdue maintenance such as paint peeling off doors, dust on power outlets and dust flakes in the suction of the shower. Around 11 pm we came back from the centre of Antwerp. We thought we were going to sleep in around 00.00 but apparently around 23.30 a group of acquaintances arrived on the first floor which resulted and running and screaming children, doors that closed a hundred times a foul smell, and noise from the rooms and hallway. Twice tried to address the “hallway guests” if it could be a bit softer and that there are also other guests in the hotel who want to sleep. This in both Dutch and English and they looked at you as if you wanted to say what you were interfering with. Owke then but at 00.30 hours went to the reception if they could do something about this. Explained that we had this weekend away but that there was a lot of noise in the hallway, running and screaming children, noise from the rooms and that every twenty seconds there was knocking on the doors together and that the doors were then slammed open and closed again and that it smelled very nasty in the hallway and it only got worse and that we were done with that now. The employee indicated that a group of people had indeed entered at 11:30 p.m. That of those doors she could not do anything about what is going to happen also people go to Antwerp and they come back. Owke but every twenty seconds the doors open and close for half an hour madam in a not normal way... well I can't help it then you are told. And the air that hangs there... well I know unfortunately. I can walk down the hallway in half an hour and if there is noise coming from a room somewhere I will ask if it can be turned down....pffff good and nice answer say..... it is now Sunday 29 December 2024 around 01.19 and the doors are still slamming shutwell worked think employee of the month. And for the management of tulip inn..... maybe an idea to renovate this hotel extremely seriously so that everything is whole again, smells clean and fresh and to make decent fire detectors so that one dares not smoke anything in rooms, better guests enjoy your hotel instead of lesser neat "guests" and staff who dare to say something or else just close the place.
Meanwhile 1:45 a.m. and went back into the hallway to send screaming and running children back into their rooms. Staff don't do anything about it. And smoke smell is getting worse.
A hotel stay should give you peace but not if you have to play police until the middle of the night as staff do nothing and you therefore do not have a night's sleep. Really mega bad this.
We will absolutely never come back here and was disappointed with a tulip inn hotel. For three stars you can expect a simple hotel but this hotel is worth just -1 star.
Too bad that our weekend away what we got as a gift is so ruined by tulip inn Antwerp. They made way too much money on this and we should have spent it somewhere else this money....
Never again......

We zijn geschrokken om te horen over de hygiënische problemen en de geluidsoverlast die u heeft ervaren. Dit is onacceptabel en we zullen onmiddellijk actie ondernemen om deze problemen aan te pakken. Ons schoonmaak- en onderhoudsteam zal grondige inspecties uitvoeren en de nodige stappen ondernemen om ervoor te zorgen dat onze kamers en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes schoon en comfortabel zijn.
Wat betreft de tapijten, we zijn ons ervan bewust dat deze niet in goede staat zijn en we willen u laten weten dat we binnenkort nieuwe tapijten zullen installeren. Dit zal bijdragen aan een schonere en aangenamere omgeving voor al onze gasten.
Wat betreft de geluidsoverlast en de rooklucht, we begrijpen hoe vervelend dit moet zijn geweest. We zullen ons personeel beter trainen om effectief om te gaan met dergelijke situaties en ervoor te zorgen dat alle gasten een rustige en aangename nachtrust kunnen hebben.
Nogmaals onze oprechte excuses en we hopen dat u ons de kans geeft om uw vertrouwen in ons te herstellen.

A landfill is even more hygienic

Never experienced such a dirty, unhygienic, rundown, damaged hotel. And have seen a lot of hotels in my life inside. The carpeting in the hallways to the room is downright filthy. Everything covered in stains, damage everywhere. When we arrived in our room we smelled a foul putting smell. The grilles on the shower were all covered in dust. Curtains were covered in stains. Walls and doors heavily damaged and covered in stains. Squashed mosquitoes on the walls. Asked for another room. We could choose from 2 rooms. The one we preferred didn't happen at the last minute because according to the reception it also turned out not to be clean.. Finally got the other room which looked a bit better at first glance. After a good look, still a lot of filth. Slab floor on one side of the bed. Also walls and doors heavily damaged and covered in stains. Hook by towel was completely out of the wall. Dirty yellow discoloured sealant edges on the shower floor. Hand soap and tissues weren't refilled. There's just no cleaning in there. Only the trash cans are emptied and the bed is changed apparently. In addition, everything is just needed to be replaced. Everything is old and damaged. Beds weren't for a mile either, springs shove in your back. Just don't understand that this hotel still exists. And that cost €210 for 1 short night! Ridiculous! We felt so dirty and were happy to be able to go home and shower, because here we would never do that. You better lie under a bridge with your own blankets that is even nicer and more hygienic. Never do this again.

An absolute no-go!

We checked into the hotel in the evening. When we entered our room, my husband and I were really shocked.
First we saw two cockroaches directly on the ground. When I then tried to open the curtains, I discovered red spots on them. As you can see in the photos: The bin is broken, the bedside table next to the bed is dirty and sticky, and the ventilation in the bathroom is covered with black dirt.
But the worst thing – and I could hardly believe it – was the towels in the bathroom. They were used and covered in dirt. There was hair on the bath towel, and used cotton pads and hair came out of the towel. Just disgusting! In my entire life, I've never stayed in a room this bad.
How can you neatly fold such dirty towels and place them there? Besides, the beds are a disaster, as can be seen in the photos. They are incredibly uncomfortable, probably 20-30 year old spring mattresses, without any protective covers or hygienic covers. There's only a thin sheet on it to sleep on. This is extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic.
The room doors are extremely noisy and slam very loud.
When our neighbouring room opened the door, I thought for a moment that our door had been opened. At check-in in the evening, we heard the guests in the neighbouring room at reception asking for a change of room because their room was also dirty. But the answer was that no other rooms were available and therefore they could not be helped.
Since we only checked in at night and had to leave early in the morning, we were forced to stay in this room for one night – and deeply regret it. It was by far the worst stay I have ever experienced.
Such a bad hotel doesn't fit such a big hotel chain at all. I hope that this hotel will be reviewed as soon as possible and the necessary cleaning will be carried out. We are really disappointed and I hope you will not be as disappointed as we are.
An absolute no-go!

Hotel rooms are in a desperate need of a refurbishment. Rooms look run down, the corridor could do with a new carpet and fresh paint. They have spent the money on refurbishing downstairs left upstairs looking worn out. The prices are too high for what you receive, one or 2 nights is ok, I wouldn’t stay more than this. Location wise wasn’t ideal for us we had to use Ubers.

Work hotel fine but no more than that

The room and bathroom is n bit dated. Great hotel if you are on your way for work from A to B. In the hallway you can follow all conversations literally. No hotel to spend a pleasant weekend with your partner. The bathroom is fine clean and the room too. The carpeting in the upstairs hallway needs to be replaced with lots of stains.
