Excellent cost-benefit

I won the trip of my company, and I was very satisfied with the accommodation of the place. All receptionists and other staff were very attentive whenever we needed. We went to all the restaurants we wanted on foot, which indicates the good location. The only point I would recommend an adaptation is the breakfast schedule. I think closing at 9:00 is too early, though it hasn't been a problem for us.

Hotel Refúgio, a quiet place to rest!

Hotel Good, there are 3 blocks from the city center, white sheets and great quality, bright and clean towels, smelly room, air conditioning, free fridge, shower with plenty of water, large pool.
Gentle and polite staff.
Spectacular breakfast, with a lot of variety. Employee Cris makes a delicious chocolate cake. Highlight also Ariane, who is a person's love.
I recommend this hotel.

I would not recommend this accommodation

I wouldn't go back, the hotel is under renovation, taking away the guests' privacy, the shared kitchen is very dirty, the games room is also very dirty. Impossible to use, reception in need of general renovation, breakfast always the same, every day. Room accommodations are good.

Disappointed

After a travel snafu, I was able to call the hotel to discuss a late arrival so that they would not cancel my reservation, which had to be entirely prepaid. The gentleman at the desk was very polite and accommodating. Upon arrival, however, the room was uninhabitable due to an extremely strong smell of mildew that was too strong to deal with, and no sheets or bedding in the room. With no other rooms available to solve the issue, there was no choice but to move to a different property. The staff was unwilling to assist in discounting or refunding the unused nights, which was very disappointing.
While it may have many charming features, I implore anyone considering to look beyond the $20/night savings versus some of the other options and look at other locations. Ended up at Surucua, and could not be happier with the property. This location could be fine with some simple adjustments to policies and a better focus on ensuring a clean, comfortable stay. When it's such a limited market, it's just my opinion, but the hotel might not feel the pressure to bring its standards up. I know the owner reads and responds to the reviews, so hopefully she can train her team better to anticipate the potential issues and prevent them, so that there is not a disappointment to begin, and then a further disappointment when the problem cannot be solved due to tight space or policy. I would gladly pay $10 more per night if that is the cost of hiring better housekeeping staff, or re-investing in upgrades to the property.

Hello Mark, try to record your entry or arrival here at the hotel but found nothing, sorry if you do not understand what you said why not speak English but I think you must have the wrong hotel, why not find anything in his name, or hosting nor reservation. You commented the room be no bed linen and towels, it does not happen here so I think you must have the wrong hotel.
