Nightmare on cockroach hotel
Nightmare stay which I wouldn't wish on anyone.
We booked 2 "superior suites" and were asked to pay during check in.
After we saw the rooms, one on the 14th and one on the 16th floor, we went to the reception to ask if all suites are like this and the staff were laughing.
They look nothing like the pictures on the website.
Maybe some rooms have been upgraded but definitely not all.
We had 1407 and 1607.
There was a daily cockroach hunt in the room. Bathroom was covered in mould. Massive health and safety issues with all the smoke/fire alarms removed from the rooms.
Bathroom on the 14th was a death trap, one slip and you'd end up on the pavement as there was a full window open in there.
Never have we experienced anything as awful and to make it all worst, the staff couldn't care less about the false advertising that led us to book these "superior suites".
Hopefully my pictures give you a better idea of the unfiltered reality.

HOTEL SAN RAFAEL: A CLASSIC OF SÃO PAULO.
In the heart of the city (Largo do Arouche), the one that was once one of the best hotels in SP, still imposes itself with quality and charm.
Giant rooms, with bed idem, white quality honeymoon enxoval, smart TV, air conditioning, brave frigobar;
Bathroom worked in marble, a small bathtub for immersion bath, good bathing amenities;
Practical and bureaucratized reception, lively and helpful staff.
The downside was separate parking and with a high price for guests $43.00 (Summer 2025)

It is also good the hotel has its own restaurant, in addition to the partnership with the Virado Restaurant!
The sense of security is constant because many police officers attend the hotel restaurant.
The breakfast is very good! The restaurant food too and with fair price!
Not liked · We checked in online but it didn't work and we had to do it at the hotel entrance. My reservation was made with breakfast, but it was not included for the hotel and the Booking where I made the complaint but I did not have the problem solved... We paid for breakfast separately every day, which was unpleasant... Our apartment was not ready and was offered another, we accepted, but the air conditioning was not working, so we had to go back to the original apartment that was already available. Until this time the evaluation was regular, but it went bad, so the apartment was not cleaned on the first day of our stay and after our complaint the cleaning that followed was bad: they only took out the garbage and barely did the replacement of personal toiletries!!! We had to call the reception to order toilet paper!!!!! It's absurd. The building is old and the air conditioning very noisy. The bathroom was wet when we turned on the shower... We noticed few employees for the extreme flow of guests, the elevator also needed maintenance... After all, our evaluation could only be bad!
