A decent experience in a mid-line Hotel. If you wish to enjoy the city and the seaside, consider booking your stay here.
Me and my family had a stay booked in August at this hotel. I will be honest from the get go - the hotel claims to be a 4 Star place, but it's really just a high grade 3 star establishment, and I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it is a bit misleading.
The Hotel lacks in atmosphere and feel, but it's very nice and clean, no issues with hygiene. The staff is really-really nice, not everyone spoke good English, but communication is not impeded, and they were really helpful. I really hope their work is well appreciated and rewarded.
The outside and indoors pools were really nice and clean as well, although the water was a bit cold at first, but still enjoyable. The poolside bar was really clean, and whenever there was a crowd there, the manager/owner would help out so everyone got what they wanted in due time.
The rooms are a bit small, there's not a lot of space for your belongings, but if you plan on spending most of your time on the seaside or touring the city, then it won't bother you, like it didn't bother us. The cleaner ladies are sweet and really helpful, whenever we needed help, they were there for us.
The all-inclusive food options were a bit limited, there were about 12 types each time they served food, including salads, meats, pasta, vegan food, french fries, soups, sometimes they would serve special dishes as well. The limitation on food variety is really acceptable though, so you don't have to worry about not having anything to eat. The only issue I can think of is that the food runs out quickly, so you might have to wait until they replenish the food that ran out.
There are other amenities as well, but sadly I did not try them out, such as a pool table, football table, a sauna, and maybe others that don't come to mind.
We had a little accident with one of the elevators, it got stuck right before it could rise to the second floor; but the engineers got us out quickly, and the staff did an amazing service recovery, so the overall experience was not damaged. Nice job guys.
Overall, a really great experience, the Hotel serves as a great place to stay at if you plan to enjoy the city and the seaside.

Bland Hotel Shipka
The food was Bland.
Sunny Beach was good place to relax.
The people in Bulgaria are fine. Food and grocery are expensive!
However, Hotel Shipka did not offer any night entertainment or excursions tours.
The Shipka hotel was quiet and peaceful. I give Hotel Shipka only 3⭐.

Nice Hotel by Bulgarian Standards
The hotel is located in a good location, gives the impression that you are in the center of the events. Distance from the sea min 5 walk, the swimming pool in the hotel is somehow separately located with a separate entrance on the side.The staff is polite and friendly, very pleasant to help solve all problems, at the reception there is a Ukrainian-speaking girl.
Towels were changed frequently.
The only thing that meals are very monotonous, I only took breakfasts, it is a couple of kinds of eggs, macaroni, 2 kinds of some pizza or pie, cheese, sausage, croissants.We took a couple of dinners, sort of and everything fresh, well they didn't want.Downstairs bar for those who all in the evening, you can already buy for example tea 2 leva is worth.You can in the evening to music sit on the tirass.
The free beach area is nearby, but there are a lot of people there....

Worst holiday ever
Worst holiday ever and I'm not a fussy traveller! Regretted wasting my money. A big group of loud obnoxious Bulgarian guests took over the pool area intimidating other guests and it was the management that lent them the speaker and encouraged them! They were then rude and unhelpful when I complained. There is nothing 4 star about this hotel. I've been in better 2 star hotels.

Honest rewiew-really bad experience,horrible customer servis,dining and cleaning
I don't suggest anyone to stay at Shipka hotel for a long period of time! We arrived at 9 am and asked if it is possible to check in early. The receptionist just simply answered "No you have to wait until 2 pm". The reservation system showed a lot of free rooms but nothing apropriate for us which make an impretion that the employes waiting for extra money.. you have to leave your luggage in unloced room behind the elevators. So we asked if we can go and have a breakfast because we orderd and payd for full board but the receptionist Tanya said no your dining program starts from diner. Imagine that we have been traveling since 2am and the hotel don't provide any food and beverages until evening...
we stayed here for 3 nights and lost breakfast , lunch for the first day and last day the same ..it is 8 meals. What is the point of paying for full board. The rooms are old, mattress uncomfortable and overused. The bathroom covered by mold! Por cleaning once per 3 days. The worst experience we have ever made with food which is not tasty and the variety of meals are
comparable with motel . Disgusting! We had to visit local restaurant nearby- excellent! I would recommend to organise the hotel staff especially the receptionist Tanya, she is really arrogant and her customer servis is on the lowest level. Don't book this hotel! It is not 4 star, maybe 2. Never again !
