Very polite and helpful staff, very clean rooms but very uncomfortable beds

The hotel is long due for a major renovation. The staff is doing everything to keep it clean but the carpeting and furniture is derelict to the point of unusability. Rooms are very clean, but devoid of most amenities. The view however from all rooms is magnificent.
Towels are very old and thin from usage. The restaurant is also staffed with nice and helpful people but the food is far from delicious.
There is free parking, free wifi and perfect location between the centre, the covered bridge and the old architecture district.

Nice hotel with polite staff

It's a nice hotel in the center of Lovech, situated on the river side of the city! The rooms are spacious and fully renovated. The WiFi is strong. The pressure of the hot water is great. The air-conditioner works great. You've got a mini-bar in the room and a little fridge. The staff is polite. I like the hotel, will recommend it and will stay again.

Terrible place

The place is old and dark. The staff is terrible, rude, impolite and unhelpful. There is a smell of cigarettes everywhere. The service they called "breakfast included" was pathetic and ridiculous.
The only good thing of this place is the central location, near the sights.

One night in the past

I think that the only plus of this hotel was localisation in the center of the city and nice panorama from the balkony in the restaurant. Not bad as for a balkan's standard. Like in the old times during communism. Everything old. Bed not really comfortable but clean in the room and bathroom. Breakfast was really poor, not big choice and coffee ... instant:( In the bar you need to have cash they will not include your bill to the invoice after you will check out from the hotel.

Shambles

I booked a double room for 2 nights at 60 BGN per night but when we arrived in this dimly lit hotel, we were informed breakfast was not included in the price, and we could not have an evening meal because they had a prom on. For both meals we had to cross the river to get food - ridiculous The bar was unavailable and we would have to use the mini bar in the room. Reluctantly we went to our allocated room, well what can I say : The rooms had 2 single beds which looked suitable in width for a child. We telephoned reception and when we arrived to talk to them, the manager of Presidivm Palace Hotel was at the desk and asked if we would like to to go to his hotel, even telephoned ahead for us and sent a porter with us to give directions to find it. So that was the best bit about The Lovech, because our stay in Presidivm Palace was superb.
