Sante hotel=wonderful pools
The hotel is nice and new. The food in the restaurant is delicious and diverse, and the pastry shop is very pleasant. The staff is polite and well-mannered. The best thing about this hotel is the pools and the water in them. There are various pools, the water has different temperatures, and they provide an opportunity for complete relaxation. The spa area is nothing special, but the massages they offer are very good. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. A downside is that the area around the hotel is quite overbuilt, but the service within the hotel itself is of good and high quality.

Excellent spa hotel.
Spotlessly clean hotel with very tasty food.
In my opinion the dinner alone is worth the daily rate of the hotel! It has a variety of pools and jacuzzi, both indoors and outdoors. The staff is a credit to the hotel-well mannered and always available to help. I hope that the hotel will keep the high standards and my first choice for a relaxing spa holiday will remain the easiest one to make.

A Disappointing Stay – Definitely Not a Luxury SPA Experience
We visited Hotel Sante, Velingrad in March, hoping for a relaxing and comfortable getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but. While the hotel markets itself as a high-end retreat, what we found was a place that felt neglected, poorly managed, and far from the luxury it promises.
1. Poorly Maintained Rooms & Facilities
The first red flag was the worn-out, even torn towels in our room—something you wouldn’t expect in any decent hotel, let alone one claiming to be luxurious. The bed had cigarette burn marks, a detail that speaks volumes about the lack of care and attention to upkeep.
It didn’t stop there. The electrical socket panel came off in my hand when I unplugged my charger. The sofa bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.
2. Unprofessional and Rude Staff
If the room issues were disappointing, the staff’s attitude made things worse. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like an inconvenience.
• The hotel doctor actually kicked me and my child out of her office, which was shocking and completely unacceptable.
• The manager was dismissive and unbothered, completely unaware of guest complaints and unwilling to take any action when we raised our concerns.
• Overall, the atmosphere was one of indifference and incompetence, leaving us frustrated and unwelcome.
3. SPA Area – More Chaos Than Relaxation
We were excited for the SPA experience, but what we got was a mess.
• The pool area was dangerously slippery, with puddles forming everywhere.
• The decking was poorly installed—it felt like a rushed, temporary fix rather than a proper design.
• The sunbeds were packed so tightly together that moving between them was nearly impossible.
• The lifeguard allowed guests to jump, eat, and drink inside the pool—at times, it felt like we were swimming in a broth of floating snacks rather than a luxury pool.
• The mineral water fountain wasn’t even working, despite being advertised as one of the hotel’s key features.
4. Location – Far from a Peaceful Escape
Instead of the tranquil, secluded retreat we had envisioned, the hotel is right in the middle of a residential neighborhood. If you’re looking for breathtaking views and a sense of escape, this is not the place for you.
The One Bright Spot
Amidst all the disappointment, there was one person who truly stood out—the physiotherapist. She was kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. She went out of her way to help, even in situations beyond her job role, and for that, we are truly grateful. A huge thank you to the only person who made a positive impact on our stay!
Final Thoughts
Hotel Sante, Velingrad, sadly does not live up to its promises. With poor maintenance, rude staff, and a chaotic SPA area, it falls far below the standards of a true luxury hotel. If you’re looking for a quality SPA experience with professional service and attention to detail, you’re better off looking elsewhere.
We certainly won’t be returning.

Nice place
The staff could be more polite. They did not informed us about some services included in our deal. The music in the restaurant is not appropriate. The food quality is not the best.
The rooms are big. There is a variety of meals. The hotel is clean.

Perfect
It was very nice staying. The kid enjoyed everything in the hotel. Kids centre was perfect, the stuff as well, works all day long. The spa centre is perfect, a lot of pools, jacuzzi, outside pool and small one with hot water 39 degrees. Steam bath is one of the best we’ve ever been.
