My “Go To” in south Calgary.

Nice bed and good multiple pillows, clean & neat, pool and hot tub. ok free breakfast but hey, it’s free. Great parking right by a police station, well lit. Would like a better military/veteran rate, most of the counter staff don’t even know what veteran means.

It was great. Front desk offered friendly exceptional service. Best I have seen in a long time. Would definitely stay here again.

As Seinfeld says, ‘ You know how to TAKE the reservation, you just don’t know how to HOLD the reservation’

Booked 2 queen bedded room. Got a king and a hide-a-bed. Andrew at front desk tried to mansplain that ‘they had none of those left. Maybe the teams booked before you did’. Uh….no. Hide-a-bed is awful for a grown ass adult. Pillows are so broken down they may as well not even be there. Asked for new pillows and was told ‘we don’t have any more…’. I said pardon???
Parking is BRUTAL at this location. Avis has half the parking lot and the crappy restaurant has most of the others. Never a spot to park unless you’re here in the middle of the afternoon.
Positives are the rooms are clean. Breakfast staff was friendly.
I would NOT book this hotel but my company does so I’m stuck here. Sent an email to our travel staff asking for an explanation. 12 hours on my feet to come back to this??? No thank you.

We appreciate your feedback though I'm sorry to hear your experience was anything less than the stellar experience we aim for. However, the company who booked for you was advised, at the time of booking, that we did not have any rooms left with two queen beds. They were informed and proceeded to book our standard king rooms that come with an additional murphy bed. You have our sincere apologies if this was not communicated to you via your travel team. We do hope your experience with us was otherwise enjoyable and would welcome the opportunity to provide you with a a truly great experience on your next visit, should you choose to book with us again.

Decent Hotel

Great south location. We attended for a volleyball tournament. The pool closed at 9:00pm which did not allow much swim time after a day of volleyball. The pool area is cold but the hot tub is nice and hot. The breakfast is okay for a hotel but limited hot items. The staff are friendly and were welcoming at check in. Tv is basic cable so not many options if you plan to spend some time relaxing and watching television.

We had a great family stay at the Whyndam. The staff were all friendly and quick to help with any of our questions and requests.
The pool water temp was on the cooler side but this didn’t stop the kids from spending hours on the water slide during our trip.
