Decent hotel by the beach

I think one of the two decent hotels where you can stay in Bautino. Mainly occupied by expats. The hotel building is located right next to the beach. Satisfactory rooms with good level of cleanliness. Try to stay in renovated section of the hotel since the other rooms are quite aged.nTV channels are mainly in Russian and Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Laundry service works well. Towels are changed on daily basis. In-room heating and air-conditioning worked without a problem. Hotel staff is friendly but not all of them can speak or understand English so be ready to use some sign language. Food is not great but not the worst one either - service can be slow.

Clean room, terrible restaurant

The rooms are simple and clean. Air-conditioning works. It's a 'beach' hotel, but I wouldn't recommend it. There seem to be a lot of snakes in the water.
Service in the restaurant is very poor. Staff hardly speaks English, regularly serve the wrong dishes and they take ages to prepare the meal you ordered.

Good hotel and restaurant

I stayed 4 days and everything is OK! Room is clean, air conditioning. Breakfast and dinner are buffet with locale dishes! WiFi is fast And OK. The hotel is very good for business visit!!!! I reccomend it!

Spartan

This is primarily a works hotel in the remote port town of Bautino, on the Caspian. It is part of a chain. The rooms are well used, but clean enough and they are en suite, with showers only (I think). The view over the harbour is a little bleak in winter and rather uninteresting at any time, but the little balconys are great sun traps May-Sept. The food is very reasonable and they have a well stocked bar, that never, ever has any change ! Typical of KZ. Getting there is a gruelling 2 hour drive down the Aktau road or via vessel, of course. You wouldn't visit unless you really had to. But to be fair, the hotel is good enough and there are some really lovely swimming spots nearby, if you avoid the broken glass, dead fish and drinks cans on the way in. Swimming in January is not recommended but in August it's warmer than bath water !

best option in Bautino

There's a limited choice of hotels in places like Bautino and if you're looking for the best one - Chagalal is a right place to stay : safe parking, helpfull reception, gym, sauna, hotel beach, lounge bar. In fact everything you need you can find there. Clean rooms and quality restaurant as a huge bonus.
