Cosy and fantastic good food.
Very charming and friendly hotel with fantastic good food. We booked full board with breakfast and dinner included. The dinner was an experience in itself. Perfectly composed with prey, main dish and dessert. Short way to the beach and overall a memorable stay.

Ring service and 1 glass of wine = a small chalet for 110 kr.
Waited a long time for service. Servants passed by several times, ignoring us. Ordered a glass of rose. I was pretty surprised when the waiter filled up the glass. As can be seen in the picture, the glass is filled only about 1/3 up. The glass cost 110 kr. Nearly what you typically get when you want to taste.

Relaxing in nice bath hotel style
We booked a stay directly at the hotel with a stay including a welcome snack on day 1 (taste and pleasure with artichoke leaves) and the restaurant's large menu in 6 servings on day 2. Next time we will definitely just buy the room and then buy something á la carte. For us, it was disappointing because it was surprising that grissini and sourdish bread with whipped butter made up 2 of the servings. The meat of the main dish was half cold but still delicious and muddy and good pommes frites. The waiters are generally really cute - especially the ladies for breakfast. The breakfast is fine and with glasses with salmon, porridge, etc. You have to be searching yourself both in the afternoon on the terrace, and in the evening in the library to buy drinks & coffee. Even though the waiters went and cleaned tables, made coffee, etc., they didn't come and asked if one would like to order something. We even overheard a tourist on the terrace, who was told (when he asked if he could buy lunch) that only after you have been inside the restaurant and asked for a menu card, the waiters know you are there. It seems crazy that you are not a little more 'on' with the guests.
The room was nice and cosy. The same with the restaurant, which is really nice and emmer of bath hotel.
If you want to eat elsewhere, go to Esbjerg. There is, however, a single small café nearby where you can get ice cream, food pancakes, burgers etc. (a little á la a bar bar). We would love to come back, where we choose the menu etc. The package we bought seems expensive in relation to what you get.

A culinary disappointment
We had 2 nights.
The hotel is newly renovated - all in nice bath hotel style.
Breakfast buffet varied
The 2 dinners were a disappointment, on paper it looks really good and exciting but unfortunately the kitchen has too high ambitions in relation to the professional level.
Inventive snacks without taste - 2 main dishes - schnitzel with pepperrod that tasted nothing - it wasn't freshly fried - the other was cold (the meat was excellent)
A dessert with marange where the marange was unfortunately at the bottom so it was soft and aqueous.

A really lovely stay
We had a great stay. The food was excellent, everyone among the staff were friendly and helpful, everything was bright and clean, and the interior is cozy and gives in itself peace and a good mood. The location and view is fantastic. Our warmest recommendations.

During the renovation, we offer: Breakfast from Tuesday to Friday Dinner from Monday to Thursday Our changing à la carte menu features three simple, delicious dishes. You can choose to eat in our cozy venue "Gammel Sal", or take the food to your room, where all rooms are furnished with a table and chairs. Limited access to common areas Most common areas in the hotel are closed during our renovation. However, you still have the opportunity to use our small fitness area, go for a run in the fresh air, take a swim and enjoy the sea and the beautiful nature right outside the door. When travelling with pets, please note that an extra charge of 250 DKK per night applies. Only dogs are allowed as a pet.
