Regrettably bad.

The hotel is old but that is the least.....unkept room bed bugs that leave your body full of minced dwarf sinks and water from the bathtub runs everywhere. Unpleasant staff which makes the stay even more abysmal. This type of accommodation should not be open.

Estoy deacuerdo en que no le gusten las instalaciones, el baño ,la decoración,
Lo que no entiendo es como puede poner que hay chinches en la habitación sin ninguna evidencia, nuestras instalaciones pasan revisiones periódicas,y no encontraron ninguna evidencia de tal información.
Tampoco informó en la recepción ninguna incidencia ese día.

Do not recommend!

After we arrived at half past midnight and found our booked hotel in Lavacolla was permanently closed we took a taxi to Hotel Garcas as they had availability. Although we were relieved to have a bed to sleep in, the receptionist was really unfriendly and unhelpful, the room was small, shower room tiny and we had the worst sleep ever. Hard mattress, with a spring sticking in to my spine all night long, for 70 euros no breakfast it did not represent a good value or pleasant experience. Cannot therefore recommend.

Clean and handy for the airport

A cheapish stay either on the Camino coming in to Santiago or handy for the airport if you are leaving on the early 06.40 flights. The decoration is not the best, maybe early 1980's style, the bedroom walls are paper thin so you will be delighted by conversations from other rooms. The rooms don't have air conditioning so be ready for a hot night if travelling in the summer. A portable fan would help but there wasn't any on offer when I stayed.

Not nice

Shoddy, smelly, no AC, and without a doubt the worst food ever. I ordered a beef fillet steak, the meat was as flat and wide as a piece of A4 paper, sent it back, ordered a mixed salad, had slimy asparagus and a tin of tuna cat food on it, sent it back, ordered a cheese and ham sandwich, cheese was strong, probably off, sent it back. Eventually requested bread and butter, they can’t ruin that? But they charged me for even a tiny scraping of butter too.
Tried to reason with them over the costs, they were very hardline and not polite at all, basically the worst hotel and hospitality a man can find. The rest is up to you. P.S, get a chef who knows how to cook, and turn that bloody phone off in the restaurant, and don’t host late night football games, place was like a stadium, jokes!!!!!
P.S, you can’t even cook French fries, seriously?!?!

Very convenient

It is very close to the airport, car rental agencies and well connected, although far from Santiago. The hotel bar is very good, good food and good price. The hotel is simple, but very convenient for business trips, for example.
