Awesome, cozy get away!

So glad we decided to stop here on a whim driving from Birmingham to Charleston. We have never tried a “curio” but surely will again. This great, old inn is well kept and staffed by great people! It’s different and there are things that might put you off if you’re trying to be grumpy. It’s historic and there are quirks with the floor plan. Our shower was tiny, but we marveled and laughed about it. The floors felt a little off level here and there but it adds to the charm. The parking…not gonna lie, I was about to get grumpy about the price. We are set the valet. SO GLAD we did! We got to meet Hank, what a treasure of knowledge and warmth. He was so engaging and proud to do what he does. He knows so much about his city and he will share if you’ll take a minute and listen. We sure hope to come back in the future and we will make up our minds not to be grumpy!

Great Staff

Amazing customer service! From check to check out, the staff was great. Great food and loved the complimentary shuttle service. Mr. James, Mr. Hank and Mr. Josh truly went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed! In good distance to amazing food options if you aren't dinning in the hotel.

Our business experience

Kymonica was very professional in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Overall experience with the hotel was excellent. You could either valet park or self park in the rear, which was very close to the hotel and it was indoors. The pool looked nice, but the weather was too cool to swim.

Southern hospitality

Southern hospitality and charm abounds. Attentive staff, great breakfast, spacious room. After arriving in the evening, we valeted the car enjoyed a short walk to a quaint neighborhood park with the kids. We had enough room for the 5 of us in the suite with 2 queens and a sofabed. We watched a movie and slept well before continuing on our journey the next morning. A nice touch of Augusta. Quiet, historic and family-friendly. Chef Preston made my eggs just like I like them and Kymonica took great care of us in the 8595 cafe.
