Amazing location
The bed in our room was definitely more of a UK double in size so on the smaller size, just so you’re aware. Also this is a dog friendly hotel which as dog owners ourselves we didn’t mind.
Coffee, cakes and juice were available in reception in the morning were a nice touch
Would definitely stay here again and use this as a base if n the area, it’s cheap but definitely cheerful

Not for me
The place had a full parking lot both nights. The breakfast was actually donuts and coffee and my donut the first morning was stale. No options for diabetics.
The views are beautiful and we were just steps from the beach with a kitchenette. The room needs some work and a new microwave.
I did not sleep. The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable and I woke up with a sore neck both mornings. The mattress is soft and felt lumpy. I was also awoken by the people upstairs one morning because you hear everything.
The tv has limited channels, so bring a streaming device. Free WiFi.
We loved seeing Bert every morning. He said “ hello Bert”
There are no restaurants in the general vicinity.
Overall, I would not stay here again.

Amazing Location!
I chose the Cape Ann Motor Inn because of the location. I wanted to be able to see the ocean and listen to the surf. Well, I got both!
Yes, the Inn could use some updating. The mattress and sofa were not that comfortable to me. But it was clean.
The staff was great. Very easy to check in and out. They had doughnuts and coffee for their guests every morning in the office. They had great suggestions for local eateries.
Make sure to say 'Hi' to Bert, the parrot. She has a large cage in the office area!
Would I stay here again? Absolutely.
