Drove up from San Antonio on the way to Dallas. Not a long drive but I needed a night off and this hotel was it. Part of the Choice Hotels network this hotel has a plaque in the lobby from 2021 for being a super hotel. My room was well appointed and the bed wa super comfortable. I got a great night's sleep.

Check in was fine, the staff was very friendly, the room was average, the couch in the room looked really old and the coffee table could collapse at any moment. Some of the outlets in the room did not work and most of them were loose in the wall. The room was clean, the breakfast was subpar, there was no juice(out of order for how long) the only thing to drink was coffee or milk served in a picture. The only butter was a stick that you had to cut a piece off of.

Overall, the hotel is not clean. The lobby, elevator and rooms were not well kept. We got to our room in the evening and when starting to get ready for bed, my friend was stung by a wasp in her toiletry bag. Then we found two more in her bag. After searching the room, we realized wasps were coming into the room from the a/c unit! Called the front desk and they sent us across the hall to another room. No wasps, but still dirty (sheets and pillow cases had marks on them) and shampoo and lotion provided by hotel were half used. I tried talking to the front desk the next morning about compensation for having to move rooms at midnight, but the lady simply said he’s busy. Have not heard back from anyone at this property.

We booked the hotel and had to cancel due to not being able to go. It was less than an hour when I booked and called about getting a refund. They said they could only refund for the second night. It's really disappointing that the hotel industry operates this way. So we paid for a room that we didn't even stay in.

We’ve stayed at this location a few times when visiting family in town and have never had issues but this time, there was a cockroach in our room. We are not the type of client to cause a scene over one bug but I made it clear to the front desk this would’ve been a major issue with any other visitor. Breakfast and room conditions were perfectly fine otherwise.
