Great Stay, will stay again.

I was in Roseburg for business. Stayed at the Best Western Garden Villa Inn. Great clean sizeable and comfortable room. Had all the amenities and the staff was great too. I highly recommend. This will be my go-to hotel to stay whenever I'm in Roseburg.

The check-in was the worst experience I have had. The night staffer was rude from start to finish. He was unnecessarily suspicious when my partner and kiddo did not come in to check in because the kiddo was sleeping in the car. He then threw a tantrum when my partner was waiting for me in the drive not blocking anyone's path and moved when another vehicle got there. He prolonged the check in process due to this and was incredibly rude. I have never experienced this before.
That being said although he is a representative of the business he did not set the tone for the rest of the staff who were incredibly personalable and kind.
The room was small, it had a odd smell, and unfortunately the floors left my kiddos feet covered in grime. It was one of the few times I left a hotel craving a shower to get rid of the ick feeling.
However the hotel had clean towels,sheets, and an above average offering of soaps, shampoos and other common toiletries.
Breakfast was one of the largest spreads I've seen in awhile which was nice in the morning.

Roseburg, Oregon Best Western

While this isn’t the most modern Best Western we’ve been in the rooms were clean and there were nearby restaurants within walking distance which was a huge bonus.
Definitely ready for some renovations and updating plugs for phones and tablets would be nice.

STAY WAS OKAY, EXCEPT FOR BREAKFAST

I HAVE STAYED AT THIS PROPERTY SEVERAL TIMES IN THE PAST, BUT THIS TIME THE BREAKFAST SITUATON WAS HORRIBLE. NO HOT EGGS, NO PASTRIES, NO WAFFLE MIX FOR WAFFLE MAKER. (I HAVE PICTURES IF YOU WANT TO SEE THEM. I WAS TOLDA N EMPLOYEE DID NOT COME TO WORK, & THAT THE BREAKFAST ITEMS WERE IN THE FREEZER. MAYBE ALL STAFF SHOUD BE TRAINED ON HOE TO DEFROST IN A MICROWAVE JUST IN CASE THE STAFF DOESN'T SHOW UP AGAIN.

Unfortunately, it sounds like an unexpected staffing issue impacted our usual breakfast service. While that is no excuse, we understand how frustrating it must have been to find key breakfast items unavailable. Your suggestion regarding cross-training staff on food preparation is very valuable, and we will be looking into ways to ensure that unexpected absences do not affect our service in the future.

A cozy stopover

We stopped here on the final night of our epic road trip as we moved from Oklahoma to Washington. We were tired, and our animals were stressed. We were in a king-size pet-friendly room on the ground floor, and it was probably the nicest pet-friendly room I’ve ever been in.
There was plenty of space for all the stuff we were hauling with us (a pet crate, a cat carrier, portable litter box, a huge storage bin, a cooler and 2 suitcases + some other miscellaneous items.
The location was near a bunch of businesses which was nice. The lobby had a cozy feel and the check-in was quick and easy. The price was very reasonable even with 2 pet fees. We also got a small member discount.
The bed was comfy and I had the best sleep by far on the trip. I actually passed out before I was even ready for bed and didn’t move for about 10 hours. The dog and cat seemed to like the room also and had plenty of space to roam.
Breakfast was great - good eggs, great yogurt selection, croissants, and more. I didn’t have a waffle but they had different types of waffle batter including gluten-free.
Checkout was quick and easy also.
I have no complaints- I would stay here again, with or without pets.
