An upscale Rodeway Inn

We stayed one night during a trip northward thru Oregon. Rodeway Inn's are not normally associated with interior room entrances and an indoor swimming pool, but this is not a normal Rodeway. It appears to be a rebranded hotel, but has the benefit of lower motel-type rates. Upon entering the lobby, the main desk has a large plexiglass barrier which makes it hard to hear the desk person and was a little unsettling. Check-in was fine however and, after not seeing a luggage cart in the lobby, a small one was produced from behind the desk. Walking to our first-floor room, we were surprised to see a family enjoying the indoor pool which is not something you see in the vast majority of Rodeways. Our room was spacious and had the built-in type of shower enclosure you normally see at Sleep Inn's and other hotels. Everything worked well, although there is no breakfast, but this is an economical place to spend the night and exceeded my expectations.

The front desk personnel wasn’t very friendly. My daughter felt unsafe but it was reasonably priced

I guess you get what you pay for, better choice in the vending machines would be nice.

A construction worker was moveing a locking system on my bathroom door as if he were standing on my side of the way looking directly at it. I questioned him and he stayed silent along with an lady and one that was the ring leader. Definitely a privacy concerns holes in many rooms along walls, also i just asked to be moved and was told that everything is okay, and that "I" the customer service representative was apologizing to them not you. The drilling amd noise did not stop from around 7pm to 4am the next day and began again at 730am. I originally called front desk because I heard the nosies of a drill going off and was making sure it was the hotel and not anything compromising privacy and security of guest. THIS A DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING AND INTO THANKSGIVING DAY 7PM TO 4AM AND AGAIN AT 730AM UNTIL I CHECKED OUT EARLY AT 10AM

I didn't like the place because I found a roach un the restroom un my room and I didn't feel hood.
