Excellent

As always.
Just mentioned that we were celebrating my birthday, and that everywhere was closed on my actual birthday.
They made a wonderful fuss of me & made it so special.
The food, of course, was top notch.
Ambiance, superbe.
Staff, incredibly good.

Bendodet stay

Proximity to beach and town centre with restaurants was excellent. Availability of pool and sun lounges was generally very good. Accommodation was of a good standard and terrace area was peaceful. No WiFi available. Would recommend this property for quiet relaxing holiday.

Excellent location

First the good points. Location was excellent, right by the beach with no roads to cross and with some wonderful restaurants within walking distance also (l'Alhambra being the best of the bunch). Parking was available at a supplement but was secure and right next to the apartment. Parking for free was available in car park over the road which would have been no difficulty if you did not want to pay the supplement. Negatives are that our apartment was marketed for 6 to 7 people. We were four ( 2 adults and two teenagers) and we just about coped room-wise. I can't really imagine more than 5 being comfortable and yes....wifi is really a must these days although it did our 20 year old son some mental good to be a week away from it! All in all the positives outweighed the negatives considerably and if the acid test is "would we go back?" then we most definitely would.

Out of season short break.

I travelled to France in late September 2013, with the intention of driving south until I found some sunshine. However, the weather perked up when I arrived in Brittany, so I decided to revisit some old haunts, including Benodet in Finistere. I booked my self catering accommodation in the Cap Glenan residence, en route, by internet rather than telephone, using a credit card. As I was due to arrive on a Tuesday, when their reception is closed, they telephoned me giving details of how to obtain access to my apartment. I can speak some conversational French, but their representative spoke perfect English, making the process much easier. When I arrived I found a clean spacious first floor apartment, with a nice view seawards. The apartment was suitable for 4/5 people with one double bedroom and convertible sofa beds in the living area. There was a bathroom with a separate WC. Cooking facilities were adequate and there was a dining table and chairs, with the option also, of eating on the balcony in fine weather. As it was late in the season, only a few of the adjoining apartments were occupied. Benodet itself was also quiet, but most of the restaurants and bars, and the casino, were still open. I have stayed in the area previously at earlier times of year and the resort was much busier then. Places like Concarneau, Quimper and Fouesnant are all within easy driving distance of Benodet and are worth a visit. It's a nice area and the residence was good value, in the late season. I recommend it.

Vacances à cap glenan

C était la 3e fois que nous y passions nos vacances mais cette fois grosse déception S de B minuscule chambre : moquette dégoûtante pas de matelas correct une simple plaque de mousse Inadmissible vu le prix et un évident manque de respect expérience à ne pas renouveler
