The Worst Hotel I Have Ever Stayed
The reserved room was king bed, but I received twin bed. Placing two beds along each other doesn’t magically make them a single bed.
The AC in both the room and gym did not work, and I was there in August, when it can’t get anymore hot and humid.
The food was contaminated as the whole breakfast buffet full of flies and the coffee machine was full of ants. Simply disgusting and non of the staff does anything.
I was asked by the front desk to settle extra charge for laundry in the amount of 280 EUR. I asked to verify with my bank that the card was indeed not charged yet. In response the hotel blocked my room card so that I won’t be able to access my room until I settle the payment. The hotel refused to let me spend the night in the room I pre-paid for more then 500 EUR/Night, because an unpaid extra charge of 280 EUR, which I have asked to check with my bank before I’m paying. I’ve stayed in hotels at third-world countries and that is something I have never experienced and will never forget.
After checking out, the hotel refused to credit me nights & points. These credited only after I have made a complaint to the Bonvoy team.
I have stayed there for business just because they were the only available option in the area at the time, but this is without a doubt the WORST hotel I have ever stayed and the Marriott should be aware of it. Especially the decision to block guest’s room card, for a room he pre-paid for, which is decision on the verge of criminal.
