Hotel in the heart of Algiers with very welcoming staff, clean room , beautiful terrace on the port, hearty breakfast, unlimited bottle of water, metro 2minutes , value for money very decent

Bad hotel

Very bad hotel : room is not clean, very small bathroom and room. The room is in bad condition (paint falling). There is no elevator even has 5 floors. So you need to carry your luggage to the 5th floor.
Wi-fi is not working, TV is not working.
It’s not a hotel is a scam

To flee!!!!

Impossible to sleep there!!! Super noisy staff between 6am and 1am. Room that smells like sewer, bathroom with dangerous finishes on which you can easily leave a piece of epidermis. Very fine walls so you participate in the morning cleaning, the air conditioning (15) very noisy in the dining area wakes you up from 6am when it is not the cleaning lady who slams and farts just next to your room. Your rest is not respected. Breakfast is only sweet which is a shame when you eat salty in the morning. In addition, the receptionist makes racist remarks about my Métis daughter.
Especially do not pay in cash, the guy asks twice in Algerian currency, he asked me 34000 dinars or 200 €, instead of the 133 originally planned, so I paid via booking by cb so as not to get ripped off.
No way to live!!! Run away.

Plain Hotel for simple stays

The hotel owner was very engaging when he welcomed me, my room had just been cleaned and I was allowed to check in almost 1 hour beforehand. It is actually a very basic room, but at least the corridor was nicely decorated.
I had 2 beds, a blanket, a bathroom (very narrow for a tall person) and a shelf with a hanger holder.
It was very noisy outside as you are staying right next to the Casbah, but you have almost everything nearby (shops, restaurants, sights and metro).
The hygiene was okay, unfortunately the room sometimes smelled slightly musty.
Apart from that, the breakfast is almost entirely sweet, so if you like it a little more savoury, there are many inexpensive options nearby.
The reception was always very friendly and helpful, which can also be said of the entire staff.
If you don't have too high expectations, you should be able to stay here for a few nights at a reasonable price.

Very good value for money

Charming hotel in the heart of Algiers , subway close to , small but clean and functional room, hearty breakfast , private and secure parking 100 meters from the hotel for 200 dinars , magnificent terrace on the port
