Fabulous hosts
The town is quaint with a few bars,fabulous views and friendly locals.
We were welcomed by the owner and his wife.
The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable.
The 3 course dinner was fantastic and great value.
The poached eggs cooked in burgundy wine were delicious
The main course of confit lemon chicken was equally delicious however the highlight of the meal were the desserts,creme brulée and mousse au chocolat.
Every dish is home made.
The Algerian wine was equally delicious.

Simple and clean to spend a night
Acceptable bedding.
The boss (well, I think) makes the welcome, serves in the restaurant and "cooks"... so not easy.
He's very nice.
It's okay to spend one night.
Breakfast very very frugal (we took a second one at the bakery just below!)

A hotel to experience like visiting the town of Thiers
We had all of that. A modest price, a large room, extremely clean places. So of course, the decor is kitsch, it's a strange mix, but the moldings, woodwork and mosaic floors in the entrance are still very beautiful. The manager was charming, attentive and at our service. You can park for free in the covered car park opposite. So if like us, you prefer a place different from those offered by the stereotypical hotel chains, stop at the Aigle d'Or. It is like the town of Thiers, and its cutlery history, tradition, feelings, it is authentic.
