no 4 stars deserved, cleanliness leaves something to be desired
Once there we were impressed by the house at first. Unfortunately, this very positive impression was quickly tarnished. On the one hand, the room was not offered for the price agreed by telephone with the pub, but 10 € more expensive. Otherwise, the reception was handled professionally.
In the room we noticed that the furniture was heavily worn. I expect a certain cleanliness not only at 4-star hotels but at every hotel. This was not given here, which is not possible for a 4-star hotel. The shower rod was rusty, the shower curtain stained, the walls dirty, the table, the bedside tables and the armchairs were sticky. There was an electric kettle with tea and coffee. However, the spoons and a saucer were missing. The table legs were covered with a layer of dust, as was the lower edge by the bathtub. Initially we were just happy that we even had a bed and wiped the surfaces with the existing towel. You can see what the towel looked like in the picture.
The bedspread on the bed had stains, we didn't care, but when we took them away late at night to go to bed, we discovered the next stains on the bedspread. We then complained and the duvet cover was replaced. Also here: With a 4-star hotel, I expect not only a muttered "I'm sorry" but an honest apology.
For breakfast a selection of cereals was offered, yogurt, toast for self-toasting (in an already slightly age-deficient toaster with a toasting time of about 4-5 minutes) , fruit and sweet particles. At the table you could choose between Irish Breakfast, scrambled eggs with bacon and sausages, eggs with bacon or pancakes with Nutella or maple syrup. The tables were only partially set, which was certainly due to the occupancy. But: At a table full set, one just napkins. At some tables butter and jam, at some (covered) not or only partially. Basically the breakfast was ok, we caught a table with butter and jam.
I can't say anything about the restaurant, we didn't use it. the prices were not excessive, although we can't judge the portion sizes. On our arrival, however, the restaurant was apparently well staffed.
We would definitely not come back.

A magical weekend
We had almost 200 people attend the dinner and so many of our guests commented on how great the food was. They were so accommodating, particularly for our guests with specific dietary requirements. The breakfast the morning after and the buffet that afternoon was also great. Although they were cooking for a lot of people (and there were delays both days - sorry about that!) it was like a gorgeous home cooked meal each time.
Clement and Paula were amazing! They were so relaxed during the whole process which helped keep my stress levels down and no request was too much. As with any wedding, there were a lot of moving parts but they handled everything so well and adjusted timelines when there were delays and ensured that we got to fully enjoy our weekend.
Whilst I can't say we'll be back for our next wedding, I can say we'll definitely be back for dinner or a night in the hotel and I can definitely say I recommend the Meadow Court to anyone thinking of an overnight stay, dinner or a big function - they can handle it all!

Shockingly BAD
Sunday Roast for near 20 euro is just meat on a plate. No veg.
Disgrace.
Avoid.
Poor tourists!
Soon there will be no tourists in Ireland as hotels robbing folk! No Irish hospitality!
Management should be truly ashamed. Long waiting times. Shockingly bad sevice.
