Fantastic little hotel, the lady at the front desk was fantastic and made great restaurant recommendations for us :)

Alessia was very helpful before we arrived at our stay, and our check in and check out were very smooth and easy. When we arrived, we saw the beautiful Vatican from the street which we really enjoyed. But, when we entered the property, we were disappointed to find the room smelling like cigarettes despite the property saying it was no smoking, the air conditioning in the room did not work, the shower water pressure was terrible, the sheets were stained, and the glass window in the restroom to the room next door let light into our room in the middle of the night. We were not satisfied.

The customer service we had from Alessia (sorry if I've spelled this wrong) was great, she was so helpful and informative, letting us know about the train strikes Friday and booking us a taxi to airport. However, the shower didn't work properly, was cold even on the hottest setting, and had bad pressure, and the pillows were lumpy and hard, and the air con unit was loud and was poor. On our last night as well, there was a lot of noise going on either in other rooms or in the common room for most the night, waking me up on several occasions.

It takes a lot of courage

One night experience 14/03/24. Let me start by saying that I have always been used to hostels and B&Bs, certainly not luxury ones. I chose this place for the location, and that's the only plus.
I contacted the host upon my arrival and after about fifteen minutes one of his staff arrived for check-in. We are on the first floor, three flights of stairs with a non-working elevator. Once we get to the room the employee shows me the keys, takes the document, asks for cash (50 euros one night); I hand over the money but...NO RECEIPT, I then repeatedly ask for the receipt but the boy doesn't seem to know this word. It's better not to talk about the room, broken furniture, box and shower tray with obvious traces of limescale (or perhaps mould). I open the curtain and the window that looks directly onto the neighbors' kitchen, I close the curtain and another surprise: various machines on the curtain of an unclear nature. I go to bed for an afternoon nap and I notice that the top part of the wardrobe is broken, the TV doesn't turn on (I think due to a malfunction of the remote control) and although I had created darkness in the room, I notice a ray of sunshine coming from a painting...I move the when and I find a surprise: a beautiful, very artisanal hole (attempted to cover in a rather unsuccessful way) with an old window. The rooms are not silenced at all, you could even count how many steps your neighbor takes. In short, it takes a lot of courage to stay there

Extremely convenient to Vatican City. Also, walkable to the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. A bit of a trek to the Spanish Steps but worth every mile!! The property itself was quiet except for street noise on the weekend. Our family of 6 definitely felt safe and staff was extremely helpful and kind. The only downside were the small bathrooms but we found this to be the norm throughout most of Italy.
