So glad I ignored the old and negative reviews.

I took a chance booking given the 3.0 rating, but this is clearly based on the park before the upgrades.
The park is very well kept, clean and well equipped . We stayed Monday to Friday at the end of August, it was very quiet, compared to the Centreparcs we stayed at the weekend before. We were in a Velthorst 4 on the water. Our kids loved feeding the ducks and fish from the decking outside, also the pool, especially the mini lazy river, unfortunately the slide wasn't working.
Very happy with our stay. Would recommend to friends/family both with and without kids.

Disappointing

Nice environment, but how they treat you as a customer by phone is below all arrows. Very unfortunate for us a reason not to go to europarcs anymore.

Nice view.....of your neighbors.

The cottages — especially the ones on the water — are neat, but this is a good example of how to ruin a park by placing the cottages so close together that you almost sit on your neighbor's lap. Privacy is therefore far from being sought.
The indoor pool is reasonable but very small. The slides show clear rust spots and are in need of maintenance. The metal slide is also rusty and painful when used at the outdoor lake.
During our stay, the toilet got blocked three times. According to the park manager, this is the result of improperly constructed sewage. The temporary solution was to flush 2 to 3 times each time.
In addition, the back door was easy to open, even when it was locked. This didn't feel safe.
The park certainly has potential, but there are serious concerns in terms of privacy, security and maintenance.
Eventually we were done with it and left a day early.

Decent stay

I recently stayed here for a nearby football tournament. The lodge we had was big and lovely with great views onto the lake.
The kids loved the swimming pool and lake slide.
The food was excellent. Staff were very friendly.
The only thing I would say is that they need to plan better when multiple groups are on site, as they pretty much ran out of food and stop taking orders at the snack bar.

Overall is good. I’ve made a report about the hugh number of ants were found in the kitchen, and also, placed a request for extra bin bag & toilet rolls. The office acted promptly to put some ant killer powder around the house next morning. However,
I’m disappointed to the response that they said only giving the TYPICAL welcome package per accomodation (2 bags for the bin at kitchen & washroom each and 1 toilet rolls).. While a family of 5 like us, staying 7 nights and was given exactly the same pack as the couple stay for 1 night next door. And they SUGGESTED to buy extra at the onsite overpriced mini-mart if we needed.
