It's been a long time since I found a nice, quiet hotel. The food is delicious. Thrilled by the wildlife welcome.
Hokkaido is really limited to places to stay in the eastern part of Hokkaido (except in cities like Kushiro, Kitami, and Abashiri, where the only hotels with good conditions are Shiretoko Utro, Lake Akan, and Kawayu Onsen).
I wanted to see the moss cherry blossoms of Higashimokoto under favorable conditions, so I stayed here and at Kawayu Onsen one night each.
(In the past, I had stayed at Kawayu Onsen in Shibazakura, but the accommodations at Kawayu Onsen, which has very good water in Iwo Onsen, are getting lonely, so I arrived here to see if there are any other accommodations.)
On May 19, I stayed in Sapporo, but the weather was only expected to clear on the 19th of the three days, so I went from Sapporo via Asahikawa, Ongaru, and Bihoro to Higashimokoto Shibazakura Park, and then came back a little to the Ramp Inn Mori Tsubetsu. Departing at 8am on Sapporo's official website, arriving at the hotel at 5pm, the 410km journey felt monotonous and very far away from Sapporo and Asahikawa on the Hokkaido Expressway. (The access page of the hotel's official website detailed the driving plan from Sapporo, which was very helpful.)
I took a bath immediately.
This clear, colorless hot water makes your skin feel smooth.
There are many Viking dinner hotels these days. Many Vikings are concerned about the quality of their ingredients just because there are so many items. As I got older, I thought more and more that I wasn't good at Vikings. (I just ate too much.)
For dinner, I chose the upgraded version of the Grace Forest Hot Springs "Feast Plan".
All the menus were delicious.
When dinner was over, Yezo deer and raccoon dogs came to the garden.
The other guests had just returned to their rooms after finishing dinner first.
Wildlife seemed to welcome us. This is nice.
I wanted to see the stars in full sky, but unfortunately the clouds came out.
The room was a Japanese-style room with two beds.
I guess the need for a bed is growing. (As we get older, it's harder to stand and sit, and beds are more appreciated.)
The next day, we went over Tsubetsu Pass to Lake Kussharo.
Tsubetsu Pass was cold and foggy. The cherry blossoms were in bloom. I'm sorry I didn't enjoy the view.
At the time of booking, I wasn't expecting much, but when I stayed, it was a very good hotel. It is also a hotel where you want to consider staying when you come to the east of Hokkaido.

The springs are great.
After all, it's not beyond the public inn.
Please don't let the dinner hall be like a banquet hall.

It was a bit of a drive to get to but when you reach it is all worth it as we were warmly greeted by the reception and ushered in for dinner as we arrived pretty late.
All in all food was amazing, they have a very old school onsen layout and they even have a private onsen room at a charge. You can also spend your nights seated in the lobby area where there are many comfy seats and games as you stare out into the wilderness and hopefully catch glimpses of the wildlife passing by.

A very nice ryokan in a remote place perfect to unwind, nice onsen, very good and service. Rooms are big and comfortable
