Friendly staff and comfy stay Motel

The beds were very comfy, the bed room including shower room were clean. All appliances were working as per expected. The staff was very friendly, the online response from them were also very promptly replied to all my questions. I would recommend this place to the family travelling with kids to that area.
It's just a question question was in my mind when I was searching for the place to stay during the vacation: "Are there enough car parking spaces during peak season?".

To answer your question about parking, yes, we have plenty of extra parking at the rear of the building also. 25 parking spaces for our 20 rooms

Clean, comfortable and quiet.

This is my second stay at Alpine Lake, and I highly recommend it. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well-appointed, and the bed is honestly one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Because it's away from the main road, there's very little traffic noise in the morning as well. The team are super friendly and efficient.

Warm and cozy.

Lovely warm motel with excellent lighting. Good location, handy to restaurants and mini supermarket. Disappointed that advertised 'TV window' means its frosted, therefore no view as we had expected.

A True Gem in Taupo – Consistently Excellent!

I’ve been staying here regularly—at least once a month—for business trips, and it’s also my go-to for personal visits to Taupo. The location is perfect: close to everything the town has to offer, yet peaceful enough for a relaxing stay.
Stacey, Darrin, and the entire team are always warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. The rooms are consistently spotless and well-maintained, making every stay comfortable and hassle-free.
You can book with complete confidence—this place never disappoints!

We Love it Here!

This was our 3rd stay here. We only come to Alpine Lake Motel now. The hosts are lovely and welcoming, and we love that it’s set back off of the main road into Taupo, so it’s quieter with no traffic noise. The room is impeccably clean and beautifully maintained.
We enjoy the mountain view room on the 2nd level, which is a larger studio room, and has a great view of the mountain when it’s clear of clouds. It’s warm with the heat pump.
Beautifully new ensuite bathroom with heated towel rail and excellent hot shower pressure. There are toiletries provided to use if needed. Just your general shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand soap/toilet paper.
Nice little kitchenette with full size fridge/microwave/Nespresso coffee machine/kettle/teas/instant coffee/coffee pods for machine/hot chocolate/fresh milk!!- not the awful long life tiny milk packets so many hotels/motels are now providing.
My only criticism is the mattress is definitely getting old and slightly uncomfortable now. We still slept well each night, but I just think it’s old.
