Great location right on the lake. Friendly staff and friendly staff.
Nice breakfast overlooking the lake.

Great location, rooms ok and service well
The rooms are small, spartanly decorated but clean. You feel comfortable and the small balcony is romantic. Coffee machine rather antique than coffee machine.
Disappointing that you can't use the Ticino card to get there, as in the Black Forest or Western Switzerland.
Service is not just smiling. Because of the Ticino card we had to ask twice. At breakfast we had to look for the waiter to get a coffee.....that he then smiles does not make it better. It's also a shame that the waiter doesn't inform about the egg dishes and you eat cold soft-boiled eggs (is that even allowed by the food inspection?) while other guests order scrambled eggs.
Generally, breakfast was crispy, without tomatoes, cucumber or peppers. Hints of ham and Grisons meat. The bread was just fantastic.
In summary: great location, room ok and service as well as breakfast with air up.

We felt at home!!!!
Hotel staff and restaurant are people of rare kindness and professionalism. Clean rooms, equipped with all amenities and much better than certain 5 star hotels.
Restaurant has really delicious dishes and high quality raw material.
I highly recommend to everyone who wants to spend a few days in Ascona.
For us it has become a reference point.
